First prize winner of the national geographic 2012 photo contest, disqualified
Harry Fisch photograph "Preparing the prayers at the Ganges," has been chosen as the winner of the Places category for the 2012 National Geographic Photo Contest. The picture was later disqualified.

What this means is that a pro photographer doesn't check his image before taking the picture?

No :-) This means that the photographers checks the picture and decides -wrongly - that am ugly plastic bag has to be erased...
BTW,. I was the photographer...
