Nissin di866

I have just bought this, having used a speedlight on a course. I am also using a d90. My question is, how do I set it up so that I can use it off camera? ie, which settings on the camera will trigger the flash? Do I need any extra bits of equipment? I have searched for tutorials on the subject, but nothing is coming up.
Thanks in advance.

The built in flash on your D90 may be able to act as a commander but I don't know if the Nissin will work as a remote slave. You'll need to go into the custom settings menu on your camera and go into the flash menu and set the built in flash as the commander and then set your Nissin to remote. Pop your flash up and see if that works. If not you could get a remote cord or radio/wireless triggers.
