Jessops

After giving them the benefit of the doubt several times I've now decided to give up going to jessops and buy online in future. The shop in Liverpool city centre seems to rely on having 1 person with some camera/photography experience and the rest of the staff appear to be Saturday/part time staff with very limited if any knowledge of either photography or customer service. They carry minimal stock and once you have explained what it is you've just asked for the standard answer is "we can order it in", how on earth have these managed to stay open when even the half decent shops like Jacobs have now gone ? I would have thought that in today's climate they would go out of their way to secure your custom, instead they are rude, apathetic and little more than useless !

I've had similar experiences at Jessops. And decided to boycott the shops.
But on the flip side I have had some good experiences there, when they promptly replaced a faulty lens. Recently I went in to see if they would price match a lens. They said no initially but then offered the best price I'd seen anywhere.
I suppose I find Jessops a bit hit and miss.

i think the problem you have is people look for a barging so only go to shops to try things out. so shops dont keep great stocks. we have a local shop wilkingsons and they sell online as well if i call first make sure they have what i want i can go to the shop try and buy. by the way its in preston and theres one in southport too
