Great shot, if you want to take photos of primates in this country I can highly recommend MONKEY WORLD (www.monkeyworld.org) One of mine and my wifes favourite places to visit. Chimpanzees, Orang-Utangs, Gibbons, squirrel monkeys, capachuins etc all rescued from the illegal pet trade and or smuggling.....part of international breeding programmes etc well worth a visit...

Really like your shot Alan,

I keep meaning to make my way up to the Monkey Forest one day, as its not too far from my hometown.

Would also really love to visit Monkey World - maybe one day.

I saw some good primates at Newquay Zoo just the other week, they had squirrel monkeys, lemurs and other small primates that were intriguing to watch.

Amy

Haven't got an image from Monkey World here at work to upload but will try and upload one from home, Amy et al I can highly highly recommend Monkey World as a day out, it's not neccesarily photography friendly (lots of wire mesh fences and glass observation windows) but with some determination and perseverance you can get some cracking shots and it's only just above a tenner to get in....I know there's a separate thread but maybe a DC Mag shoot/meet up some time???

Hi there, If you like your primates you need to check out Coomb Martin animal and dinosaur park (sounds odd I know). The Lemurs there have figured out how to get around the electric fences and escape every day. means great opportunitys for pictures, and I got to spend an hour sitting next to a couple who were sunbathing happily while I tickled their tummies. Truly amazing.

hi, indeed it is, it only takes about 25 mins to walk around the monkey bit, but it's good all the same.
