I actually live in the village in the background of my photo. The valley is flooded but thankfully the village is ok.

You can't blame peope for looking at ways to ease the flooding, especially when their houses and families are so close. I'd probably have done the same to protect my family and property.
I completely agree, it was a poor design anyway they also replaced a bridge down the stream that flooded, the original bridge was an arched one that would cope with a flood situation and was replaced with a flat one not only did it make matters worst but it has now been destroyed!

Not had much time this weekend, so just snapped this.

Im in with "Hard Liquor", Just a portion on my collection of Whiskeys, Bourbons and Scotches.

I was also going to have funky lighting setup and Hardwood as the back drop but you wouldn't have seen the background. I didn't have time to do the lighting.

I did have 2 possible entries but not had the chance to PP it or to enter it. I managed to take a shot out of the plane window, of the island including the volcano of Mount Teide and the surrounding volcanic rock (obviously a hard surface!) and the island was exactly nestled between 2 'sticky out bits' on the planes wing. I really liked the shot. I also had one of a hanglider landing on the hard rocky part of the beach we went to. This was gonna be 'Hard Landing' however, no time or energy to enter. next week though, I promise!

A nice set of entries this week too. Just voted. Good luck everyone.

Congrats Sabrina. Your image was almost my 1st choice. I struggled between yours and the Hard Liquor. I will DEFFO be back in this weekend. Have missed the competitions.
