Sorry I missed this weeks comp I'd taken two photos, but whilst deciding which one to upload the the phone rang. Yes another medical emergency.

This time my eldest son was rushed into Hull infirmary Sunday whilst heading home. Suspected heart attack. Have just got back home after spending many hours at the hospital. Fortunately it was not an heart attack, but Pericarditis. There are 5 of us in my family, that just leaves me, guess I'll have to take things very easy and put my feet up and make sure I don't follow the trend.

Well, it is no surprise I did not get a vote! I was clutching at straws, or possibly 'Barking' up the wrong tree.

Up - Corridor

My vote went here, as I thought it was the image that best fitted the theme. A good example of an opportunity when least expected, overall a good image that was also thought provoking.

Down - view from within

A good idea, and certainly on theme. This nearly got my vote, but I was torn, great effort and lots of work put in to get the shot.

Everyone else! - Wow, a good week and some good ideas. I think all of the images were a good attempt at the theme and this made it slightly difficult to choose one to vote for.

Bring on the new theme !!!!!

Well done Jeff a great win and a great shot, I deliberated, cogitated and various other ated's and in the end voted for DD's shot but it was so close.

I am a nillie this week but hey it is the taking part that counts

Up - JimboJumbo The real image of TV

Nice idea if a bit unusual it does hurt my eyes if I stare at it to long though, an interesting pattern not a lot to add really.

Down - Pregnant wife

Firstly many congrats to you both, this is a great idea and an unusual angle, it is fun, unusual and the tones work well. Only suggestion is maybe a slighly tighter crop on the belly and some cloning to remove the black clothing from the bottom may work slightly better but then again it may not Great shot though.

Congratulations Jeff, nice win with a nice photo.

Up - View from Within
a hell of an idea, I wound't have found it. a little critique, the wineglass is not sharp on the left site (because of the inside of the bottleneck think), but that's just a detail.

Down - "Help Me!!!"
Did get my vote, I like the sharpness, the color and the "composition". Fitted the theme (I don't see often a shoe from that angle)
I like this kind of photo's.

Congrats Jeff, I was going to vote for yours but DD's got it because it was just that little bit different, definite thumbs up though.

Up: 'toilet button from bottom to top' by Sabrina_De_Winter.

Right, what can you say about this unusual perspective er... except unusual? Good to have a bookcase in the toilet for those unforeseen long stays. Nice use of low and wide-angle. It's intriguing and reveals something about the photographer's literary tastes.

Down: ' the real image of TV' by Jimbojumbo.

Definitely on theme this especially if you take it from the view of the TV itself. Good detail and colour a bit like a 'Magic Eye' picture.

As soon as I saw the winning picture I thought wow that's going to be hard to beat, well done.

Up

Help me!!!

A great perspective, really unusual to see the sole of some ones boot in your face lol. i may have tried different lighting but can't really fault the picture or idea it fits the theme well.

Down

Lying on the groyne

I like the picture, well framed, in fact made me wish I was there... might have done better with capturing the waves slightly further back on the bottom left (i hope that makes sense) I am just not sure it hit the theme of unusual perspective that well though.

Thanks for my vote and critiques, a close up of a 42" Plasma TV doesn't really produce that much to show off in a picture but is it an unusual perspective... I think so.

Really enjoying the photos and seeing how every one else interprets the themes from "their own eyes" and really enjoying the participation even though I am finding it tough to be as creative as the rest of you lol.
