Who's King of Geekdom?

I've rubbed shoulders with members of three fraternities, each vying for the title "Geekdom" (land of the Geeks) They are: 1) Model Railroaders, 2) Radio Controlled Aircraft enthusiasts, and now 3) Photographers.

Which fraternity is the most "Geekified"?
And who is the King of Geekdom?

Do you have any tales of Geek behavior? Like the model railroader who was getting a divorce, and bought his ex-wife out of the house so that he did not have to dismantle his train set.

Lets have a laugh. I'm sure you have stories to tell...

Not really sure about geekiness in photography but there is unfortunately some snobbery at times ( though never on this forum )

We've probably all met a blowhard who revels in speaking as loud as they can to everyone within earshot about what high end kit their using & exactly how much it cost them, despite the fact no one's listening.

Guess you could call this person a type geek ( but there are other names I can think of )

Or wish them a "Happy Star Trek day" on May 4th

BTW I've got two remote control helicopters and an aeroplane behind me and a couple of train sets in the loft (although they aren't currently set up, so I don't think it counts) so what does that make me? I thought it was just a normal bloke thing!!

I think deep down all of us blokes are geeks! And that's a good thing.

And I'm ignoring the Star Trek comment. (Shudders.....)

I haunt another photography forum where members can list their gear underneath their avatar, or as their signature. I've seen their long lists of equipment and wondered if anyone really cared. So I listed mine, thus:

Nikon D5100 with lots of buttons and things, and a neck strap so I don't drop it, but I could still fall over and drop it in the mud.
