Well done sabrina, a great shot and a well deserved win. Funny enough I had a similar idea but wasn't sure on how to put it all together although mine was going to be young and old stood in front of a grave.

I will do my ups and downs later.

Thank you Dave,

My 2nd idea was an old man walking to a grave, looking back where there is a little boy looking that old man.
But weather was not on my side

Again congrats to Sabrina!

My vote went to Jeffs (kerbside's) "Past, Present and Future", I loved the idea, loved the atmosphere of the shot and the lighting. I thought it was a great idea, great concept that was well executed so in all nice one Jeff!

Up - Alexharrison101 - Volcanic Past

Very interesting choice of subject and lovely detail my only real issue with the shot is the lighting which does spoil it for me as it is a bit shaddowy and looses detail, the detail that is there is lovely and I do like the sparkles that have been captured.

Down - Wil59 - Past, present and future resting place

Really nice idea, and a lovely location I do like the colours and the reflections on a sunny day a polarizer filter would work well here to bring out the colours more but it did look overcast anyway (maybe worth revisiting on a sunny day). My biggest issue with the shot is the branch on the left so I don't know if a different composition could have avoided this or maybe a bit of work with the cloning tool. If you shot this in RAW it maybe worth tweaking the white balance to try and make the colours a bit more golden. In all a great entry from a great location definately worth revisitng probably early morning before the sun gets to high so the water is calm.

These are of course just my opinions.

Thanks to Jimbojumbo and kerbside for my votes.

Well done everyone on the great creativity and shots this week.

First, my appologies - I forgot ups and downs last week (oooops).

Dave, thanks for the feedback, it is very constructive and well noted for my return to Castle Howard. We have annual tickets for this place, and this was the first time I had been to that part of the grounds, I knew the picture was flawed, but time and weather was against. I had a poloriser with me but forgot to use it.

Up - Dave's wall

A great shot, worthy of the type you would see hanging on a livingroom wall. I liked the shot and the composition, I can not pick fault with it really, but there other entries that were just as good.

Down - Sabrina

Well done, and congratulations on the win. This is the type of post processing I can not do yet, and is an excellent example of what can be achieved, showing that photography is not just a skill but an art aswell. However for me, I did not like the teeth part of the image, I know what it was supposed to portray, but I found myself been drawn to this area of the face all of the time I looked, which was slightly off putting, just my opinion. Fantastic effort and overall a good entry.

Thanks to hssutton for my entry, it is much appreciated - as mentioned above, I still have some learning to do and hopefully next time I take that shot it will be better.
