Some really good entries already, I do not feel that the quality of my work can compete. But I have had a little time for this one, so going to enter to boost numbers, and keep my hand...........er, sorry.........eye in the comps.

My dog did not co-operate, so this is my father-in-laws Border Terrier (or Border Terrorist) as we like to call it, this dog is like a maniac on steroids.

I know how to add photo's just wondered if anyone can clarify the "preferred method" of uploading to add a picture to the competition thread?

you can do it from your flickr page. go to the photo you want, click on 'share', then 'grab the HTML/BBcode' button. tick the BB code button then copy what's in the box and paste it into the entry thread

Some really good pictures so far, I am way short of the quality you guys are producing, particularly as I have no PP Software experience or for that matter any to use yet.

Still got to try and learn and get involved at some point...

When I started, I had a tiny netbook. no PP software and a basic entry level DSLR. What I learned from here re critique on my entries, advice etc, Im now (dare I say) producing images of a fairly decent quality. It's a shame that some of the old stalwarts that were here when I started aren't around now to see how I have improved, but if you all stick with it, look, listen and learn, you will soon see major improvements in a matter of weeks...Thrive on the critique, don't take it to heart or take offense by it.

And another MASSIVE piece of advice...take the photo you want, not the one you think others want to see. Be true to yourself.
