Slik make a good tripod, and this one looks pretty good.
Tripods are worth spending money on because if you get a good one it will last you for many years. My 20+ year-old Manfrotto would still be in use today if someone hadn't stolen it.
If you buy a cheap one you're just wasting your money because you'll end up buying another (better one) sooner rather than later.

I've been using a £40 Velbon. Its good to a point but I need something more substantial. Just waiting for it to arrive.
