Rain, at night, can give an amazing photo. Have you seen what can happen with slight camera movement on a wet pavement? very abstract.

Some nice photo's starting to show now, and excellent examples of the theme. I am struggling to get time with the camera at the moment. Engineering Degree is taking too much time, and not leaving enough for play, after work, kids and chores are taken care of. Keeping my eye on the threads though to see what is happening. Spending a few hours writing a presentation, then might get some time for the food comp. but no promises.

That's a great shot DD and it shows you don't need filters just ideas and motivation. Filters are another tool and if you don't have them you will find another way which you have done. I'm not sure whether I would have done a shorter exposure to reduce the movement of the vessel on the tide, or whether that movement adds to the drama. I'll have another look later on.

I forgot to post the exposure on my shots: 5 seconds @ f22 and 8 seconds @ f22. Both 100 ISO.

Been out tonight to try something new;

Never tried this before but I enjoyed it. The results are not great but its something to work on. Its virtually impossible (with the kit I have) to hold the camera still whilst being driven. (I wasn't driving and using the camera!!) Thats why the dash of the car is blurred. Something to think about.

Similar but with the same problems. It was a murky old night, wet and miserable so probably not ideal.
