Thanks everyone for your congratulatory messages and especially thanks to alexharrison101, beatnik69, ianpinion, kerbside, LaPistola, Sabrina_De_Winter, SPARKY iow, stanstodd and wil59 for my votes.

I had amazing fun with this technique and imagine I can use it again for other ideas. My entry kind of gave me an idea for the next time I had the chance to pick the theme, which, thanks to you guys, is this weekend. Will post the theme up later tonight (tied up all tomorrow day time and it may take some planning/effort/post processing for you guys so the more time you have, the better your ideas/images will be!).

Up - Will's Dead HDD - I know you had issues last weekend with your PC and it was great that you still managed an entry. I think for a more balanced shot you should have (if possible) not chopped off the corners of the hard drive. I would have preferred the whole thing.

Down - Sparky's Handy Bat Manny - A fun image, great processing and a clever idea. You did well especially as a new entrant. Keep them coming.

Excited for my next idea.....you will either LOVE or LOATHE it and I wish Cutter was 'ere as its right up his street!!!! Come back Mark, I miss you

I'm thinking it may put some people off, but photography is about stetching the imaination and this sure will do that. So give it a go, it's fun an you should learn lots, especially if you incorporate some post processing. I am also hoping that it may attract some new members too, as its very different to what we usually do.

La Pistola, Phone Shadow

A difficult theme this weekend, but you had a go at it and came up with a great idea. For me a little more detail on the phone could have worked better, but I am no expert. The pic fits the theme well.

Up - julescg - Candlelight

Great idea and hit the brief well by providing both light and shadows, I think a slightly different composition may have worked slightly better, maybe a different angle or by pulling the camera back slightly but a very good effort.

Down - Lapistola - Phone Shadow

I thought this was a really nice idea and hit the brief well, I agree with wil59 and think a bit more detail of the phone would of added more impact to the shot may be the front at an angle looking down with the screen lit still catching the shadow at the back.

These are of course just my opinions.
