It is amazing how much detail is captured on these cameras. I once used my 300mm lens to snap at a plane that was miles away, I was just messing about but even though the plane taken up only around 5% of the frame upon zooming in you could clearly read the air line on the side.

Well done to Jonny

Up - Reaching for help
This week was the first week I had to zoom in and look for reasons to eliminate photo's. This was in my top two and the only reason was because of some darkness you missed around the back of the child's head while masking her.

Down - Out of reach, for most mere mortals at least.
Im surprised no one else picked up on this but there is a huge amount of noise in the sky on the upper part of this photo. Great moon photo though, great details. I did think this one wasn't really on brief, with the you have to show why its out of reach part of this theme I thought this entry was missing that second thing.

I suppose it depends on the criteria you use to decide on what image to vote for. Personally I don't look too hard for post production defects etc (that noise you mention LaPistola must have been introduced in PP), I look at the content first and foremost and that's why I went for Alex's even with his 'colour popping' technique which is normally anathema to me. Most of the entries were literal illustrations of something being out of reach, I didn't think his was.

I guess if you had to really scrutinise the photos it shows how close they were this week although that wasn't reflected in the votes.

You don't want to know what else there is on that wall It's a wall of my working space (woodworks). Every "thing" I don't want in my house, my husband put it on those walls.

My up and downs:

Up: Front Door - Beyond Reach
This is a nice picture, but not realy beyond reach. With a little guts antone gets over the chain.

Down: The Housing Ladder
I like the idea behind it, and I like the colors.

Sabrina, all but the moon picture, which i voted for are within reach, just use a ladder, clinb over the cahin, save as hard as you can etc so in fact apart from getting into a rocket ALL are within reach.

Jonny spot on. Normally I struggle a little but one or two pop out and make my decision easier. I had to zoom in to eliminate which as you say shows how good this weeks entries are.

The Noise in yours is typical of taking one of them sliders just a little to far. You can tell it was PP as its not the kind of noise a camera produces. Depending on the screen, if your eyes are not quite at the correct level or angle its not noticeable.
