Exclamation D7000 Macro

Someone please help me!

I'm lost in a world of focal lengths and such like. All I want is a good quality macro lense to use in the garden and around the house creatively.

I have £200-£300 to spend.

Someone please make a suggestion...I'm confused...

The best macro lens is the Nikon 105mm VR. It's a prime lens that might be the sharpest of all Nikon lenses. At 105mm you will be far enough from your subjects that you won't scare them off (insects, etc.). You'll also need a ring light adaptor for your speedlight. The 105mm is also a great portrait lens. However, it's cost is somewhat above your budget - look around for a good used one - you won't be disappointed.

The Tamron 90mm and Sigma 105mm are also worth a look, and you should be able to get a 2nd hand one well within your budget. Also cpnsider the Nikon 85mm f/3.5 DX VR.
