Using DSLR tp photograph slides

Hi there,
In a recent issue of Nphoto, there was a really interesting feature on using your DSLR to photograph slides, in order to digitize them. Could I please ask if anyone has successfully achieved this and is an FX or DX camera achieves better results and which macro lens would be best suited to the job.

Thank you very much for your help.

Regards

You'll need a macro lens to focus close enough and a tripod to keep the camera steady. DX for FX won't matter because either will offer more resolution than the original slide. RL
