What a good week to start back on, plenty of choice and all very good in thier own right. I think the worst of the bunch was my entry as it was a bit rushed. I first tried to create a star out of Skittles (the sweets), but it did not look right, so I ate them. Anyhow......

Up - The Sun, our closest star.

This was a clear winner and very deserved, I loved the picture, everything about it seemed to fit well, and I could picture myself sitting and relaxing along side that river.

Down - Sweet star

A very clever shot and well composed, I loved the picture as soon as I saw it, and my vote was torn between that and the one mentioned above. Well done.

I am looking forward to the next theme, and altough I am away for the weekend again, I will do my best to get one in.

great photo jeff - well done.

up: star on euro. lovely detail in the closeup; maybe what was under the coin was a bit distracting for me?

down: natures table. nice concept in this shot, and a sneaky star i expected this to get more votes...

looking forward to this weekend's theme!

Up - Origami Stars - An unusual idea, and some nice memories for you..I think maybe if they had been spreadout more, rather than heaped, they may have had more impact. Thanks for my comments, I was surprised at no votes, howevere, all the spices made my dinning room smell heavenly..lol

Down - The Sun - A well deserved win, I like the composition, bang on theme, no critique really.

Loooking forward to the new theme.

Well done and thank you for the votes and comments

Up - Star Tool

Great picture of a set of torx bits. For me nothing wrong.

Down - Starlight

Great idea and not easy to do. I like the rays at each transaction point but the whole shape was off for me but you could do it 50 times and it not be perfect. Its a great achievement to even get the star with no real breaks in the joints. The only real way to get it perfect would be to use a template that you move your light source around.

Alex, if I would take this picture, I would fill the whole frame with stars and put them perfectly horizontal.
But no, I'm no expert neither...
