HDR software.

Hi everybody, first post so take it easy!
I am very much a beginner even though I've had cameras for many years. I'm that old that I used to have a SLR which you put a roll of film in.....honestly!
I've just upgraded from a EOS 450 to the EOS 600 and I would really like to get into this HDR business. My question is could anybody recommend some reasonably priced HDR software suitable for the 600? And something which is not too highbrow?
I just started to have a go with Serif photoplus 4 but it is not compatible with this camera.

Hi OBG. Welcome onboard. Photomatix is very popular for HDR. I'm not a big fan of HDR and I'm certainly not great with Photomatix but even I managed this with it

It's not great but it's not too bad for 10 minutes work with one raw file.

I'd recommend Photomatix and if you look up a discount code on the net before you purchase it you can get it at a much better price too. It's quite straightforward to use and the presets help with this, which can be customised.

I like Photomatix, too, but you might want to take a look at the programs here and here too. Let us know if there's anything we all should consider?

Remember that HDR is built into many packages (eg Photoshop, Paintshop Pro) so you might not need a standalone program.
