Greetings...

Hi everyone

My name is Grant and i live in Rochester in Sunny Kent, the Garden of England.

Have just joined tonight and posted a thread on "Lens", when i should have come here first, introduced myself and read the topic on "how to upload a photo..." ( Sorry )

I joined a camera club about 6 years ago while working as a civil servant, and purchased a Canon EOS 300D as a starter camera from Ebay.

Am still using said camera years later but hope one day to upgrade, But for now it will have to do.

Am gradually working my way through the beginners guides and tutorials which should improve my pictures dramatically.

Thank you for such a fine website and for having me onboard.

I hope to dazzle you all with some fine photo's in years to come but for now i'll just marvel at everyone elses pictures

Grant Hards

Hi Grant,

I agree with DD.
I'm all new to photography. Bought my first camera at the end of past year (2011) and I don't have time to take lessons (due to work and family).
But I do the weekend and months competitions, and it is indeed a great way to learn.

I hope to see you over there
