Swapping Lens

Hi, Im considering trading my Canon 70 - 200 f4 IS for the 28 - 300 IS. Im a novice photographer really but with keen interests. Main use of Lens is sport like Isle of Man TT.
Any feed back would be more than welcome.

you might be better off with the 100 - 400mm L IS for sporting events to give you that extra reach

make sure to try the lens out first there are some of the 100 - 400 L's that are a little soft wide open

I agree with this. The 100-400 L IS is excellent for sporting as I discovered in the olympic stadium. I used the TV setting and a high shutter speed. I am happy with the results. I usually use this lens for nature and bird watching. So the athletics was a first for me.
