7D raw downloads

Please can anyone help,i just got a new laptop and my raw pictures will not download into photoshop elements 7.Any help appreciated. Alan.

Elements 7 is older and not updated by Adobe to support the 7D. They do this to get you to upgrade, of course. However, they do release the free DNG converter. You can use it to convert your CR2 file to a DNG (Adobe's RAW file format) and then import that into Elements.

you could use the canon software to download. did you use elements 7 on an older laptop and if so did that work

Actually DPP Canons Raw editor is better than ACR. So why not use DPP to convert your raw files then export direct in to Element.

Thanks folks for all the advice itried the dng converter but it doesnt seem to be downloading for me.I will just have to keep trying.I like DPPs raw editor but i really like the sliders in ACR..Thanks again,hopefully i will get it sorted.
