Anyone Shot the Clifton Suspention Bridge recently?

Its my day off tomorrow so have decided im going to try and catch a sunrise with the Clifton suspention bridge being the subject

Has anyone doen this recently ot any advise on the best place to be to get the right shot?

Going to be there early to scope it out a bit but any tips would be great just hope its not raining!

You might get some backlight from the sunrise if you're on Sion Hill. The bridge wasn't built for photographers; dawn is pretty much along the deck tomorrow. Check The Photographer's Ephemeris for a good way to see where to be when the sun is where it is.

If you go down to Brunel Way under the swing bridge you can shoot the bridge down the gorge but as the sun rises in the east and the bridge runs basically east to west it is a bit of a ****** to shoot.
You could try from the observatory, this is higher than the bridge so you look down on it and the city docks are behind it.
Saying that it is a great place and iconic structure to photograph.
Good luck, must admit I have taken some good shots here but as I live in Bristol I can get there when the weather is just right.

yeah I live in Bristol too so if it its raining not the end of the world but we will see how it goes, did pop down there this eve to take a few shots and see what works from both sides
