Yes, I realise that but I was thinking more in terms of locations, roads, access, local hostelries.

Well The A82 through Glencoe and across the rannoch moor will give you some stunning shots the classic being Buachaille Etive Mor. The Kings House Hotel is a well known stop for those walking the West Highland Way.

But it all depends where you are based

Luss and nearby Lomond Shores for Shopping. Maybe Lake of Monteith for misty fisherman type shots and nearby abbey. If you want castles there is Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument always a treat (very understated comment). Further north Kilchurn Castle and for a complete change of scene I would recommend the jaw dropping scenery of the "Great Glen" but you are leaving the loch Lomond area and heading north toward Fort William and Oban the Gateway to the Isles. Also there is the Isle of Seil which is not an isle but the once home of the late HRH Princess Danna's mother well worth a visit (micro brewery) and again not too far from Fort William. I hope you both have a very pleasant trip and could have added so much more and what I did add is not in geographical order so visit a tourist information office as petrol is expensive the further north you go
I loved staying at Lake of Menteith...even swam in the Lake :-)
Lovely area to visit, loads of things to see really close by....Callander, Aberfoyle,Loch Katrine and loads of forest walks too!

Take the A83 towards Inveraray and you will find Loch Fyne. From Inveraray follow the A819 to Loch Awe.
Kilchurn Castle on Loch Awe is popular with photographers but it's still great fun especially on a misty morning.

I'm running Scott Kelby's Worldwide Photo Walk in Inveraray on 13/10/12 if that is of interest?

Do you often run photo walk events? I am based in Ayrshire and recently taken up photography so would love to join in any walking events up here that I might be able to pick up some good tips.
