Read Posts

Sorry, couldn't think of a better title.

When I enter the forum Orange envelopes are displayed next to the forum list to indicate that there are new posts within any of those subjects. Fine, my assumption is that this is how it's supposed to work. However, there is one niggling aspect to this which I find somewhat disrupting and time consuming namely, it's not working properly or at least as imho it should.

If I click on the thread containing an orange envelope, read the new post(s) and then use the Go Back button in my browser the orange envelopes changes to grey. But, if in the Last Post list I click directly on the thread, read the post and then use the Go Back button the envelope remains orange. This is somewhat annoying because it means that several hours later, memory having gone blank in the meantime, I end up reading the same posts again because the orange envelope is still showing.

I hope that I've made this clear - I participated in a few gin and tonics over lunch.


Edit, Having posted this I clicked on Forum at the top of the page and would you believe it, all envelopes are now orange - there was non before having posted. Now where's that smiley for tearing your hair out.

Well I've noticed that they seem to change about, as some threads that I've never been in are showing as black, whilst others that I have look in stay orange! My guess is the site still isn't working correctly regardless of what admins say.
