Chat Thread W/E Comp 27-28 July 2012 - Sport and/or Leisure

With the Olymypic games starting this week I thought it would be nice to put an optional sporty element into the theme.

So any shot which must be taken within the competition time frame that depicts sport and/or leisure in any way you like.

The competition rules are here please make sure you are familiar with them.

The entry thread is here

Well it's all happening here LOL

Starting to think I have picked a bad theme

I must admit though I am trying to think what I am going to do.

Yes that is fine, relaxing is leisure as far as I am concerned it is a very broad theme from sport which can be cycling, swimming, running, sailing etc or leisure which can be sunning yourself, paddling, strolling, gardening or just plain enjoying yourself (careful DD). That is just to name but a few I can think of

Same here, not much happens sports wise in small villages, but I'm sure you'll find some leisurely activity at the nearest pub
I'm in a similar quandry as I will be spending the weekend at my sons new home helping to sort things out. Almost got the camera out to take a photo of the cycle race on TV.

I did post a reply (or so i though) but it's not appearing. Hope I aint posted in wrong thread!! I'm not going near sport this weekend apart from watching it on TV, but leisure wise, I am going to a BBQ...Not sure if this will count....A nice angles close-up of the food or the flames or the beer!!!!!!! (I have an idea....)

Otherwise, it may a be a close up of my hubby on his bike...Can any of you longer standing members remember the one where we were asked to take a photo of someone really pushing themselves to the max? My shot featured my hubby, close up of his face, as a drop of sweat fell off his nose. It looked like nasal mucous but it fit the theme spot on...Sadly people complained that it was too graphic and made them feel sick!!!

I was also puzzling over what can be called sport or leisure as I've just been in the garden and snapped two flies bonking.
