Nikon D3S Or D4 to Partner D800?

Hi All

I have made my mind up and I am going to get the D800 however in my line of work in winter I am set in very low light plaes so need another camera with High Iso.

I currently have the D3 had it since it was new and I love it !! still does what I want but does now n then struggle in the low light arena's that I am sent too.

So do I get the D3S or the D4 ?

I have used both the D4 and the D3S, the D3S I borrowed of Nikon NPS and used it at Badminton Horse Trials in 2011and i found it to a great camera, I did test shot at home before i went and images at 5000 ISO there stunning with little noise visable.

I used the D4 at a Nikon NPS Road Show where I also used the D800, and I found the D4 to be lacking in quality in build and image quality, it was not what I expected. the buttons on the D4 didnt work properly and the commmand dial was a bit iffy. I have to say at this point this was a sample camera and not one ready to sell. but I found it to be not as strong as the D3S i used in 2011 and to me on the LCD screen the D3S looked better at high ISO'S than the D4, but I could not say this for sure as the card doors where taped up.

So if there is any D4 users on here please can you tell me what you think of it as Nikon might of changed a few things before the "Real" camera came on the market.

I look forward in hearing everyones thoughts on this as there are alot on threads out there think more for the D3S than D4 but lets see what people think on here.

Check out Ken Rockwell's site for his take on the D4: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d4.htm He gives great reviews on Nikon cameras and lenses.

thanks for this oldboy, I have thought about this for a while and I think insted of buying a D3s or the new D4 im going to stick with my D3 and just buy the Nikon 85mm 1.4D and save up money for the 200mm F2 in the future.

but thank you for your input
