Photo Mounts - Selling Prints

I am looking to sell some of my prints at a craft fair in November I was wondering about mounts.

I have looked at the outlay cost of cutting these myself but the tools seem pretty expensive so I am guessing the best option is once I know what size mounts I want is to get them cut comercially.

Obviously I will need to get images printed as well, can someone give me any advice/recommendations on this.

Maybe the best standard size to print my image on an A4 print with a mount size and how best to fit the picture to the mount i.e. type of backing.

Thanks

i get A4 prints from photobox - they're pretty good, and speedy too. when i've framed A4 prints i'll admit i cheated and bought frames designed for A4 which came with a mount...so no help there i'm afraid...

I used photobox for some calendars I had done as gifts at Xmas and I have to say the quality was very high, I did get a good deal though by pre-ordering the credits. I have previously used Vista print but if I can get a good deal next year will definately use photobox again!

Looking at the A4 Print prices they look very reasonable so that is an option so thanks Alex.

If you go for a standard print size the mats for them should be easy to find and cheaper (volume cost). I know when I looked at them here just to use for camera club competitions the "standard" ones were less and less expensive.

Cheers Don, have found A4 Cream for .92p each and the backings about the same price so with printing I am looking at about £3 per print plus spray mount and my time

Dave I made post in this thread including a link to "The Range", where I buy my frames and mounts, but it needs a mod to OK it. A little job for you
