I made a picture, but I'm not sure if this is what you mean by "old style".
Yes, I'm a starter, but I love to learn.
So I would be happy to know if this is the wrong or the right direction.

Thank you!

This is exactly what I was looking for Sabrina - did you look on the link at the start of the chat thread to give you an idea?

It's not so much the items in the still life (though that does matter somewhat), its more the lighting technique and how you have displayed your still life objects.

They're both very good. Any pp tips? I wasn't going to enter after all which was a bit disappointing as I thought this theme needed more thought and research from me. However, after seeing these two examples I got motivated so hopefully I'll have an entry tomorrow morning.

DD that cloth looks suspiciously like the one I've been using, I'm sure you'll agree when you see it.

I shot underexposed so i could tweak it in raw. Adjusted levels and colours a little then in filters i added a pastel on canvas effect.

I keep going to the entries thread to catch up and post as the word "Entries:" isn't first or pops out so it confuses me.

Anyhow she told me she was out tonight so I got some props out, made a light and started to bring things in from the workshop ready. Turns out her mate and mother had plans to get drunk and be loud before going out around 10:30pm ish so it was never going to happen. Even more so as her mate when drunk can't stop asking me questions or trying to talk to me and they was using the table which I needed.

Anyhow there gone now but with a mate due any minute ill have to try tomorrow night and hope I don't need to do much PP.
