Digital Photography Courses Student Exhibition

The Leicester Peoples Photographic Gallery have an exhibition on at the moment, showcasing the talents of 25 students of Digital Photography Courses. There are approximately 150 photographs on display, from a number of different genres, including landscapes, portaits, wildlife, macro, automotive, birds and seascapes.

As a past student of DPC, run by former Leicester Mercury photographer, Glen Tillyard, I have six of my images taken on a recent trip the the US displayed.

The exhibition runs until the 4 August and the gallery is open from Mon - Thurs 10am - 6pm and Fri - Sat 10am - 4pm. Sadly, it's closed on Sundays.

So if you're in Leicester, please go take a look and show your support for this talented group of photographers, including some original works by some future names to watch Annabell Ison, Diane Norwood and Cat Thompson.

The old library building, on the corner of Belvoir Street and Wellington Street (according to Google research).

Stephen is correct, it's just south of the city centre on the corner of Belvoir Street, Wellington Street and Welford Place. The entrance is nearly opposite Fenwicks.

Once inside head for the first floor room off to the left. Oh and it's free to get in.
