Sorry to hear that Harry, just get here when you can.

Jeff, if we don't do the monthly comp different to the weekly, I can't see the point in having it. As for techniques, theres lots out there. Look here for example:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Categor...hic_techniques

Trying to find a theme around Zigga's reflection wasn't easy, as like I say, it's not a technique as such. However, there is refraction which links with last weeks water drop photography and Zigga's reflection idea, so lets go with that.

Hope thats ok Zigga. Will set it up now.

[QUOTE=DigiDiva;81364I started the monthly comp to develop our techniques either in camera or post processing.[/QUOTE]

Hi,

Sorry, I hadn't realised the monthly comp was more about techniques. Thank you for the suggestion and setting everything up, just not had any time to do anything the last few weeks.

Appreciate it

It was the same for me. Half way through last month (water drops) I though I would read the rule book which of course states 'New Techniques' As I did my first water drop photo in 2001 I decided to remove my proposed entry and submit a very basic one.
For the same reason I will not be entering any more of the monthly comps.

However here are three photos taken a few years ago which may give a members a few ideas.

Approx 8-10 years ago I entered the Cherryblossom photo into a national photo comp and it won me quite a lot of camera equipment and was displayed in the Proud Galleries London for several weeks.

Maybe I need to change the wording of the rules. Its open for anyone regardless as to if it is a technique you have tried and mastered, or not tried yet. It was started not only to give people the opportunity to learn new skills but so we can see how its done by the masters. Please keep entering harry. Your entries, experience and comments are very important to the lesser experienced photographers.
