Importing nef files into elements

I dont know if this will be of help to anyone but it works for me

Camera: Nikon D7000 , 1st slot used for RAW, 2nd slot for JPEG
Currently using Elements 9

If you can't directly import the RAW files into the organiser
First take 4-6 shots on slot 1 as JPEG then change the file mode back to RAW

When importing in my case through a card reader the organiser automatically starts to import the files including the test JPEG's and the NEF raw files , you can then delete/untick the JPEG files before transferring the RAW files to your chosen folder

As I said it works for me. Best of luck

You should have no problem importing as long as you have Adobe Camera RAW 6.3. Just check for updates in Elements and it will find any needed ones.
