Chat: Weekend Competition 21st to the 24th June. Technology

Technology, this theme should allow you plenty of opportunities to get an interesting shot indoors if you like or outside if it ever stops raining.

Like it, lots of scope and should hopefully make for some interesting shots.

Right, I'm done already as I will have a busy weekend ahead and not sure I will get anymore time to submit an entry.

Was beavering away last night and thinking about the theme when all of a sudden an idea came...'Et voila' as they say.

I didn't want to post in this thread as I am always interested to hear comments when the voting has completed so if you would like to see my image, it's in the Entries thread.

Well my first idea I couldn't do. I was trying to use technology (my camera) to capture something the eye can't see, which was a lead pellet being fired from a rifle. Im pretty sure the cameras shutter is fast enough but 500 watts of light at close range on the subject just wasn't enough. It needed more light.

So im in with 01001001 01000011 (which is binary for IC and IC is short for Integrated Circuit which is whats know as a silicon chip).

I used my "3rd hand" (a tool for holding electronics while you solder) to hold onto a circuit board and shot through the magnifying glass on the tool.

This will be my entry, unless of course I come up with something else on Sunday.
A knackered 500Gb hard drive full of photos. I do have a back-up of these photos, so not a problem.
