I like it. Sharp, good focus and DOF.
The white in the ottom left corner is a tad distracting but generally a god bokeh. Overall very good photo, and the dew drop is the icing on the cake.
Good work.

Pictorially I like it too. Well focused and sharp where it needs to be and the larger water droplet adds some tension for me, when, and will it, drop off? I also like what seems to be 'Diffuse Glow' around the highlights. Very nice.

The 'diffuse glow' was added via layers using my new found knowledge and understanding of layers. I'm having a ball with it after watching a tutorial video from a disc out of DC mag.

Love it, just one niggle: there appear to be halos around the petals?

Thanks. The 'halo' is my bottom layer..I wanted to give a soft, dreamy feel to it. Im just learning layers and experimenting. Maybe i should have left it all 'harder'

Very nice and vibrant photo. No real crit other than mask out the glow around the stem.

Chris I think it's a great shot , I love the composition the vibrant colours and the pin sharp detail but the halo effect I find distracting , with a lovely shot like this I don't think you need anything added to it .

I can see where you are all coming from. I tried to blur out the background more but my inexperience in Photoshop shines through. Will go back to the original and leave it as it is..Will post it for you to see...Less is (sometimes) more.....

I quite like the "halo" it brings an element of fantasy land to the photo, a bit of art. I just think if the "halo" was removed from the stem it would look more like the petals are glowing and not the whole flower. It is a personal preference though as I like more "artistic" photography. It would also make a stunning "reality" flower shot and a close up. Try cropping so you have a quarter of the centre of the flower bottom left and the rest petals but not showing one full petal if you understand.

Doing this and a close up of the drop has given you 4 completely different photos from the one shot. Fantasy art "fairy land" type flower, normal flower, close up with drop as the subject and a close up flower (macro kind of) shot.
