Download Adobe DNG Convertor which I have to use with my 60D and CS4. Alternatively it's Canon's DPP software that came with the camera; or Elements 10 will convert 60D raw files but doesn't have the full version of ACR-swings and roundabouts I'm afraid unless you keep up-to-date software. You are missing out on raw though DD.

Tried the canon software that came with the camera. Mac won't accept the disc. I will try adobe DNG, hoping its suitable for my ancient processor

I found some free software which I think works with all raw files. It called FastStone Image Viewer and I definitely know Canon's .CR2's open and you can do some minor processing. It's obviously not as powerful as the CS series, Elements or Lightroom but I use it at home for some light touch up work.

It's free so worth downloading anyway even if it's for minor tweaks and batch converting stuff from RAW to JPEG...
