Increasing the colors of a Rainbow?

When shooting a rainbow I always seen to end up with a very weak photo of the rainbow. I wonder if anyones has a technique for enhancing the colors using Photoshop CS4? Thank in advance. Hank

Hi Hank, welcome to the forums.

The first thing I would try is metering off the rainbow rather than anything else. That should help getting the best definition in camera.

In PS, I would try a hue/saturation adjustment and ramp up the saturation. Then paint out the layer mask so that the layer only covers the rainbow.
