Chat - June Monthly Competition - Tilt & Shift

This months theme is 'Tilt & Shift.. I want the image to be given the Tilt/Shift effect not by using a tilt shift lens, but by post processing. I have a great link here to help you but there's other tutorials too.

http://www.tiltshiftphotography.net/...p-tutorial.php

This is something I have never tried, have been dying to try and looks fun. I think your subject matter is important so think carefully about model villages, railways, towns, cars etc. have fun and c'mon, keep the monthly theme going. Its a great way to learn a new technique, gain feedback, go learn more and eventually post your final image.

The monthly competition rules are here

Entries thread is here

Just go have fun and enjoy!!!!!!!!

Morning all,

Long time since I last graced these pages but excitement building again as I have just recently picked up a Canon 500d so back into photography with a vengeance.

Saw this post and remembered I had a quick go at T&S at work. I took the below photo from the window next to my work desk, hopefully shows a miniature garden with a few 'little' people sat on the grass. Hope to have another go this weekend:

Hope to be part of the weekly comps again soon as well.

A good theme DD, I've never tried it so a good excuse to try something new. Zigga01 that looks a really good example of the technique. A bit of research then out with the camera methinks.

I started the monthly comp for exactly that. So we could try a new technique, post images in chat, get feedback, go improve, re post etc until its entry time. By then we should have all learned and perfected a new technique and had fun in the process.

I have taken my 1st images to start to try my tilt/shift. They were taken through my office window (we don't have windows that open, in case we jump out!!) so there may be rain on the glass or reflections. However, I can always use them to try, if they aren't much cop! Will post my 1st attempts tonight, to see what you guys think.
