lenses age?

Does anyone know if there is a chart somewhere that tells me how old my 17-40 L lens is by using the serial number or something?*****************************

2299624 is the serial number on the base of my lens.

That site was a mine of information, but unfortunately nothing that told me the date of my lens. It seems my lens is missing the factory and year code??!!
But still an interesting site.
