Travel Tripod

Hi All

I am off to Prague in around a months time, and looking to take a tripod to catch the sharpest shots possible and also some long exposure/night shots. I already have a Manfrotto 190CXPRO tripod which is great, but was wondering if there's something out there a bit more compact and suitable to lug around all day should I need to.

I'm not looking for anything top of the range, just something that will do a good job and be sturdy enough. I'm looking to spend around £60-£80 (might be being optimistic here!!), but could perhaps stretch to a little more if there's something of better quality.

My camera body is a Nikon D80 with Nikon 18-135mm/Sigma 10-20mm lenses, so it would need to be sturdy enough to take these.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated

Best regards

well here's a bit of an odd ball suggestion for you. Sell the 190 CXPRO on ebay and buy the MF4 version! It comes with a set of shorter legs for travel, it's light, and it's sturdy enough to support a DSLR where many of the lightweight tripods aren't. Yes it's expensive, but it's a tripod which will do everything - you don't need two!

Whatever you do - don't consider the 785 type of tripod, it might look like it will do the job, but the tiny ball head just isn't up to the job of supporting a DLSR.
