Advice Required For 1st Fashion Shoot

I have the chance to do a fashion show next week and this would be my 1st ever such event. Before I confirm, can anyone offer me any sound advice, for example....

Best camera settings
Best Lenses
How do I go about my business without blocking the spectators view?
Do I stay front of house or try backstage too?
Am I best placed at the end of the catwalk or would I move about?
Anything else you might think I need to know?

Thanks guys...(and gals)

not 100% sure but i would say
iso will be high
double check wether flash can be used
I would Ap mode and let the camera sort the speed out but as i said i would imagine you will be up above the 600 iso setting
as for infront or behind deping what type of shots you want
if it is cat walk stlye shots then at the front of house if you want to show all tha chaos then in the back
try and get there early and use the time to find 1 the best postion 2 set the camera up
enjoy and have fun hope these help
