CHAT - "Discarded & Abandoned" - Weekend Competition 24th - 27th May 2012

This weeks theme should you wish to participate is '"Discarded & Abandoned" and I am looking for images that depict anything that has been thrown out, dumped, abandoned, left to rot etc.

This is quite a broad theme, so hopefully we can get a nice mixture of different takes and lots of interest. Lets try to get back to the number of entries we used to have, to make it tougher.

No limits whatsoever on PP although all elements of the image must have been taken in the competition time frame.

The rules are here http://www.digitalcameraworld.com/fo...ead.php?t=4313

And the entries thread is here http://www.digitalcameraworld.com/fo...8620#post78620

Good luck and most of all have fun!!

'Discarded & Abandoned'

Great theme that DD, plenty of scope to let the imagination run riot.

You don't need imagination; just step out of (almost) any front door in urban UK and you'll be stumbling over discarded things.

From pizza boxes to clothing and high heeled shoes. The problem will be to find 'good, photogenic' rubbish and get a cracker of a shot.

And don't forget the parks! Plenty of fun there. In the country park where I am a volunteer ranger, we recently found a black rubber quivering dildo of gigantic proportions.

I won't disturb you with a picture here, but if you're interested you can have a look HERE

Well that's my point, use the imagination to overcame the detritus we see on a daily basis or show it in a different and more creative way.

Of course you're right. You need imagination to get the right shot, not to find rubbish. More's the pity!

Good luck!

Technically she should of handed it at her local police station if it wasn't claimed then she could of donated it to the WI jumble sale or something!
