Wink Any audiophiles out there??

Looking to buy a subwoofer to ad some grunt to my home cinema system - anyone know any (not to expensive) and worthwhile possibilities - need it not to expensive or large so that i can sneak it behind the sofa without the wife finding out!!

LOL !

Don't you know we clean behind the settee? and that you'll find an extra set of wires a bit difficult to hide? and I'm sure that any one sitting on top of it is going to notice too.

It's not exactly going to help the sound either with all that soft furnishing damping out the sound.

Mayber you should think this out again??

(BTW Meridian make some very nice speakers although they are a bit pricey)

Not every speaker is suitable for true bass. Bigger the betterand a long throw cone. Fitted into a bass reflex cabinet. Positioned back against the wall and low down

Just make sure its Active (Mains Powered) otherwise you will be waisting your time buying one.
Panasonic make one about £100 its tall and slim once again yake a look on Ebay!
As for the wires get the flat stuff and run it under the carpet held down with duck tape, the mrs will never know, but as Flake said dont put it behind the sofa, stick it in a corner under a table or somthing, Let those Bass notes out.
Have Fun
