Thanks to Cutter, DigiDiva, highlandscenics, ianpinion, Jerry WSL, kerbside, mabbutt, pea24, Semaj, wotcars for my votes.

Up

Highlandscenics - Butterfly Lamp

Great shot, love the composition, processing as a subject has a lot of character which won my vote

Down

Ogr1st - chandeleur

Great idea and great subject, nice light and detail I maybe would have like a shot further back to show the shape of it a bit more (of course just my opinion).

Well done everyone on some great entries, I have the next topic which has been done a while ago but think it would be fun tor try it again.

Great win Dave and well deserved...

Ups:

DD: "David": Like the thinking behind this shot, but as you've already brought up, it's a tad on the dark side...also looks like the contrast is a little low.

Wotcars: "Alone in the Dark": An atmospheric shot, and good subject matter. However, I'd have liked to see more light on the subject and possibly the edge of the wall cropped out.....just my own personal taste...

Kerbside: "After the Show": Liked the colours from all the light sources, bang on for artificial light. But like you mentioned, due to the circumstances, it was handheld so I guess the fact it was O.O.F was the reason it didnt attract the votes.

Bendall: "Stairs": I really liked this shot, like the colours, lines and the shapes. Should've attracted more votes.

Downs:

Wavemachine: "Supper by Candle Light: This got my vote as I liked the starburst type effect from the candle. I liked the way it was set up. Was a good wholesome photograph.

Ogri1st: "Chandelier": I like sparkly shots, and this had plenty of sparkly glass. My only critique would be it's a bit too busy. Nice shot though.

Hssutton: "Shih-tzu": Nice shot of this wee fella. I like the definition in his/her eyes and the expression. Nice composition, again should have got a few more votes, but alas the turn out for voting was unusually low....

Thanks to all who voted for mine.....I quite literally got the idea whilst in the bathroom.....it hangs off the spare towel rail....

Wll done Dave, a great win and well deserved. This is similar to my entry a few weels ago with my wine and grapes. It's a very nice effect. You used the andle and I used an off camera flash and window lighting.

Im sorry for not commenting yesterday but it was my wedding anniversary yesterday (31 years.........lol) and I was out for a meal and a few drinks straight after work.

UPS - Harr'y Shi-tzu - This was more a snap shot for me but I think you did say it was to make up the numbers which is very good of you and appreciate. We must keep the entry numbers up.

DOWNS - Wotcars - Alone In The Dark - This is exactly what I had wanted to try but as Dave fell asleep, I had to do what I could and couldn't position the lighting as I had wanted. A nice shot and an effect I do like.

Mine was, as said, too dark so I must make adjustments to my images until I colaborate my screen.

Looking forward to this weekends theme.

Great win Dave and well deserved a touch above the rest this week i think.

up - Alone in the Dark
Not sure what the light source was , i am presuming off camera flash or studio light. I would agree with what comone else has already said, that is the window cropped out and just a tad more frontal light, possibly, however good moody shot.

down - Stairs
Good vibrent shot that cannot be faulted, does what was asked for in the remit, can't say a lot more realy.

My entry
Well what can i say, a snapshot, hand held, OOF, just liked the 3 types of artificial light colours.
Note to self: Must try harder next week.
