CHAT: Macro/Close-up weekend comp. for April 6th

Hey guys! I decided our topic this time will be macro/close-up photography. There is one catch however. No flowers! Flowers is a big topic for macro so I wanted to remove them from the equation to challenge us a little more! There are tons of inspiration everywhere for this topic! It will really be a challenge for me as well because I love macro but my main thing I shoot is floral. I hope you all like this and have fun with it! Good Luck!!

Neato. I have been getting lots of practice with this during my 366 project. However, I do not have a macro lens, I have extension tubes (the dumb kind, no electrical connectors, but hey they were $8!) and close up or diopter lenses.

OK I have been experimenting..have some (what I think are) awesome shots but now I can't decide if the one with the shallow D of F is better than the one with everything in focus...Or if the coulred is better than the B&W.......DILEMA!!

Cheers, I had my first attempt at it a few weeks ago with a computer TV Card which worked quite well but because I was effectively changing the focus point it effected the image size which meant I had to crop more than I would have liked. I have since invested in a focus rail which works really well, I have a week off so am hoping to have a proper play
