Monthly Competition CHAT Thread - April

This is the CHAT thread for the April's Monthly Competition.

The technique for this month is Dark Aperture Photography. It's an old-school technique that some of us may have used in the past without really knowing it.

I've found a few technique videos on the web that show you what's involved... this one is one of the best:
http://vimeo.com/39556279

I'm sure we can all have a lot of fun with this and I look forward to seeing the great stuff you come up with.

Rules can be found in this thread

Pea! Loved your video. Nice to see you 'live' for once, after all the selfies.
And tell you something? I never have practised 'DAP.'
With my present camera, it is impossible, as the lenscap jumps off when I switch it on.

Enjoy your Sunday, and see you around.

Thanks Reinardina,
You may have to improvise a little.
It's a technique I'd forgotten about until I saw someone using it the other day. I think we should get a wide range of shots.
Ta Pea.

I may have a go at it, even though I'm not doing competitions at the moment.

Forgot to tell you (to your face, I'm totally shameless!!!) how goodlooking you are!
Not half as stern, as you often appear in your selfies.

ok, it's past 12:00 so I'd better come clean and post a real monthly theme :-)
Hopefully, no one fell for the April Fool version of the Monthly Comp and went out and bought a new set of lens caps! I had a lot of fun putting the idea into practice so it doesn't really matter if noone got it :-)

The real theme is HERE

Have fun!

I must admit I did fall for it initially as I thought you were going down the pinhole photography road i.e. drilling a hole in the lens cap but then when you covered the lens I thought hang on

Very cleverly done though especially when you said "We have been doing this without knowing it"

Nice one
