Camera strap

I have been meaning to ask and keep forgetting. I want to replace my camera strap with a better one. I never put it around my neck, just over my shoulder and the one that came with my camera is not the best for that.

Does anyone have a recommendation? I am cheap too, you must bear that in mind

I use a cheap Chinese knockoff (very cheap off eBay) of a Black Rapid strap (not very cheap at all!) - in fact I've two and keep one attached to my 500 and the other ready for the camera or other lenses. Only ever use the neck strap when changing lenses

Ok, Black Rapid straps are expensive. Do they come with a naked woman to put them on for you?

I think a neoprene one is my best bet, but I second the link request!

Here's the one I got (although I paid only half that - direct from China)

Here's what looks like the equivalent in North America

Hi Don,

I don't know if you're still hunting for a strap.

I had a case for my lap top, but never used it (always used the backpack). I noticed that the shoulder strap was wide and substantial so I nailed it to the Nikon. It works beautifully and is very comfortable both round the neck and on the shoulder (and cheap!)

Unfortunately the Nikon no longer works with a dirty big hammered into it!

See the post above, I got one. I am going to convert one of my laptop bag straps to a tripod carrying strap when I get around to it.
