Holster kit carrying test March issue

Was about to buy a Think Tank Digital Holster 20, planning to use it on a belt and not the harness. It didn't score as well as I'd expected and am now unsure whether to go ahead.
Will be used for a 50D plus 55-250 lens.
Does anyone use one of these? On a belt?

Hi Boxy,

I think the Think Tank Digital Holster 20 will work well on a belt. The main problem that our reader was having was that having it on the front of the body made accessing his camera rather difficult, but when your DSLR is down by your hip, it'll intuitively be within arms reach. Also, it'll fit a 50D and 55-250mm much better than an entry level SLR and kit lens, which is what we were using.

I found that all bags that hang from the hip are awkward. Most leave no place to hang your arms comfortably and all of them get very hot and uncomfortable to wear after an hour or so. Just my view of course. Those pictures advertising these bags in-situ on the model, have no equipment in them and look OK. Put equipment in them and watch how they pull away from the body with the weight!
