Don't know if I can answer your question but as far as this shot goes the exposure looks spot on and the composition looks very good with the stream leading you all the way through the image right up to the falls , the amount of motion blur in the water is going to be down to personal taste but I would of liked to see more detail in the water with a faster shutter speed .

All in all I think it's a very good shot with a lot of thought behind it .

These are good, I think I'd be quite pleased with them. Can't say if you've improved.

In the first one, I find the bright spot on the valley side a bit distracting, and I'd have liked to see all of the sluice gear, top right.

In the second, I'm getting a confused feeling between the blurred water on the lower left & the sharp but otherwise similar rocks on the lower right. At first I wondered if you had a thumbprint on a filter! I wonder if a polariser might have helped to differentiate them?

Both images seem to be tilted to the left. It's more obvious in the first, because of the dam wall.

All in all, well done.

cheers dd greenwing the spiirit level on me tripod said i was level and the sluice ur on about is just a water level measuring station(brick shed lol) i think what you thought was a thumb print is just the blur of the water where it gets narrower as ive checked my filter and theres no prints on it so maybe i could have cropped that bit off
