Yesterday I photographed my first wedding as the 'official' photographer. I say 'official' as I was a favour for a friend but I was the only photographer.
The pressure was immense!!
Pressure to get it all done with good results. I've had a quick look through and am fairly happy with the results, but I won't be rushing to do any weddings again. It's certainly not relaxing.
Hats off to pro wedding photographers!

Well, you've done a pro out of a job, but fair play - not your choice. Hope it's worked out..... but you can begin to see why professionals charge what they do - it's not as easy as it looks!

Well done. My first wedding was a registry office and I got told off for taking photos while they signed the papers. Opps lesson learn't, looked like a royal ****

I took photos at my Nephew's wedding a couple of weeks ago but they also had a Pro as well. Pro had a D300s and used mainly a 70-200mm F2.8 VR and a wide angle lens but not sure which one. I had the D3 plus Nikon 70-200mm F2.8, Nikon 24-70mm F2.8 and the Nikon 14-24mm F2.8. When she walked past me she said, "Nice kit."

Because apparantly it's illegal to photograph them signing the Register. you can photograph them 'pretending' to sign the register!!!

Total rubbish....wouldn't stand up in court, because how do you know if they are pretending or signing it for real?????

Most places don't mind anymore, but you will always get a 'Jobsworth'

I am pretty sure it is not here, I see it all the time. In fact, I am pretty sure we have one from our wedding.

It isn't illegal to photograph the register signing, but some registrars will set up a false one for photographs, apparently its in case other signings can be seen.

I presume she was talking about the camera and lenses and not some 'other equipment'.
