Thats a cool shot nice and sharp with great depth of field.
Is it multiple shots of just one.

Hi Paul

Like Alf said very cool shot , love the composition , the framing of the arch and the bright vivid colours that give it an almost fantasy feel but as far as your question ( Does it work ? ) goes that depends on what you wanted from the image in the first place .

Like I said I like the surreal fantasy feel to it , in a way it reminds me of a Star Trek set all it needs is Kirk in the foreground but as a natural shot it doesn't ring true to me . I think it's the contrast between the arch and the sky and the sharp edge of the brick work that doesn't blend naturally , I think it would be very easy to convert this to a very nice B&W ( and when I say easy I mean the decisions to do this would be easy ) so I commend you for trying the colour route .

Mark

My only criticism would be that the edge of the arch looks a little too sharp. I presume this is the join of the layers so perhaps a little softening along the join might help.

But saying that it's still a great photo.

It works for me and theres nothing wrong the window frame being sharp but a 1 pixel feather would be appropriate IMO but you probably already did that.
