Captivating Nature

Location : Lata Berkoh, Taman Negara Kuala Tahan, Jerantut, Pahang, Malaysia
Tech details: Vertorama of 2 exposures using ACR (Adobe Camera Raw), one for the sky & one for the foreground.

About Lata Berkoh
"Lata Berkoh is a spectacular cascades that marks the limit of easy navigability on the river. There are deep pool below the cascades, delightful for swimming but hazardous for swimmers! and a rocky area overlooking the rapids offers an ideal site for photographers to capture the beauty of nature.

The boats stop about 700M below the cascades, and an easy walking path leads along the river bank, past a visitor lodge.

When coming back downstream, it is well worth asking your boatmen to drift with the current, so you can enjoy the sounds of forest and have a better chance to see kingfishers, fish-eagles, straw-headed bulbuls (pycnonotus zeylanicus), and monitor lizards (varanus salvator)."

You have some really great photos. The color and DOF is an attention getter.
Is a " vertorama" a vertical panorama??? I've never seen that term used before ... learning something, thanks for posting the great photos!
DPower

edit: I looked at vertorama with Google. Can you tell what settings you use? Do you keep the same zoom setting for all photos. How about the focus? Is it the same for all shots? I've done a lot of panos and usually set everything to manual after meetering the important part of the pano.

Thanks for any info - DP
