I really hope you don't mind me posting the full size image for you because the one you have here is just too small to see properly .

I like the idea of your shot but I'm not sure it quite works , your PP work is quite nice in that it has softened the whites down but the silhouettes of the teenagers are still too clean and crisp to look aged . I like the way it looks like they are walking away from the tower in the background and out of shot but for me there is still too much of the image on the left hand side , may be cropping off about half the distance from the outside edge to the first figure would improve the composition and finally the bottom right corner is a bit distracting and it may work better if the dark area was cloned out .

Just my thoughts so I hope someone else will add to the critique .

Mark

Thumbs up thanks

first thanks for the larger post on the page.
many thanks for your thoughts, I have since cloned out the bottom right corner, I dont know about the shilouetes, may give it a try.
As for the crop, one thing I have noticed is everyone suggests a crop on picies, I will give it a look,
once again thanks for taking the time to review

Its not bad but as many people do with B&W its too flat it needs some more contrast.

I agree with Mark on most counts. As a rule, if you're going to crop a shot with a 2 x 3 ration into a format that isn't 2 x 3, there needs to be a compelling reason – a square crop of something that's perfectly round or symmetrical, for example, or a long, flat crop on a panoramic landscape.

Composition-wise it's very strong, and I like the graphic nature of the silhouette, but the tower and trees are competing for attention. It would be better with just the trees, or just the tower, but not both. And as it is such a graphic image, I agree that it could do with a bit more contrast.

Sorry to sound so critical, but it's a shot that's almost there in many respects - a few tweaks and it would be spot-on!

I like this, but it feels like something is missing from it, just not sure what.
